Principal's Message 8/25/18
August , 25, 2018
Dear Brooks Families,
We have concluded a successful first week!! Students are already back into their routines, friendships are being established and learning has begun. It was a remarkable few days! Part of establishing procedure is our arrival/dismissal plan— getting well over 600 children to the correct location. We could not make this process happen without our dedicated staff and VOLUNTEERS!! To every staff member and volunteer who shuttled students to/from buses, walker doors, daycare vans, bike racks and the car line, I THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! Our students remain safe and comfortable because of you!
Thank you for your patience as we establish arrival and dismissal procedures as mentioned above. We will speed up our process next week, but I still anticipate some delays, particularly loading buses. Also, an important reminder - district policy states that students may only ride the bus they are assigned. Please do not independently put your child on a different bus. In the event of an emergency, we would not know of this change.
PAWS for Tales
Our partnership with the Naperville Humane Society and the PAWS for Tales program will continue on Fridays starting at the end of September. This wildly successful program allows our students to read to therapy/rescue dogs. In order to participate, your child must have a release on file. Please fill out the attached Google Form for each Brooks Tiger in your family to grant permission to participate.
Reminder from the Health Office
If your child will be absent or late, please call the attendance office at 375-3200 x3. In addition, all Kindergarten and New Families are required by law to submit an Illinois Physical and Immunization Examination. This form was included in your registration packet. Your student's medical paperwork is due NOW. Please submit your medical forms. If you have any questions, please call the Brooks Office at 630-375-3202.
Team IPEF Kids Marathon
Please see the attached flyer for more information on the Team IPEF Kids Marathon. It’s not too late to sign up!
