Art Awareness

The Art Awareness Program is a wonderful opportunity for you to get involved in your child's classroom. Each month students will learn (in a fun way) about a myriad of preselected masters.
Here are just a few:

Michelangelo, Picasso, Durer, Cassatt, Wood Miro, Renoir and many more... Each month volunteer's are assigned to a particular artist. The program provides an easy to follow scripted presentation, but of course you are always welcome to add your own personal flair!

If you are interested in volunteering for this wonderful program please contact Mindy Sinzheimer (melyndasinz@msn.com)

Writers’ Workshop and Cool Cat Press Need YOU!                        The Brooks Writers’ Workshop and Cool Cat Press are gearing up for another year of helping our students through the writing process and becoming published authors. Parent volunteers worked with the Brooks student body last year and published more than 250 books! This program needs many hands to function efficiently and the commitment is minimal. Can you enter a “read more” that will allow this section to expand? We need: · In-school volunteers who can devote 1.5 hours of their time monthly on Thursday afternoons · At-home volunteers to type up and print out handwritten student manuscripts (time commitment an average is 30 minutes weekly) Volunteer training will be provided in September. Please contact Natalie Jordan (Natnandy1@comcast.net)
