To provide quality experiences for all students in the art disciplines.

To increase skills in the areas of problem solving, visual perception and individual expression.
To increase the children's visual vocabulary.

To create a safe environment in which to explore, discover and create.

Drawing:
Using various drawing materials to explore age appropriate drawing concepts and techniques.
Painting:
Exploring and discovering color through a variety of painting materials and techniques.
Sculpture:
Creating 3-dimensional artwork using a variety of media.
Printmaking:
Using-printing techniques from simple mono pint to more advance techniques such as linoleum block prints to create repetitive pieces of artwork.
Art History:
Using prints of well-known pieces of artwork to raise awareness of the lives and work of master artists.
Crafts/Ceramics:
Using a variety of materials to create utilitarian art objects and other culturally motivated craft objects, such as; pottery, jewelry and weaving.
Designs:
Using the art elements (line, color, shape, form and texture) as the basis for creating a visually pleasing product.
