MB Financial Bank

Gwendolyn Brooks students in grades first through fifth can participate in the "Bank at School" program. Students are able to "bank" on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, from 8:50 a.m. - 9:05 a.m., throughout the school year.

The "Bank at School" program is designed to increase the students' awareness about saving. It shows students how their everyday classroom lessons can be applied in the "real" world. The goals of the program are to help improve basic math skills, aid in teaching self discipline and responsibility and help children set and attain goals through saving.

Students participating for the first time are required to open their account with a $5 dollar minimum. There is no minimum balance required or no monthly service fees. Additionally, the funds are FDIC insured. For further information regarding this program, please contact Ruth Martin at 630-375-1981.
